The Dallas Morning News Robert Miller column: North Texas Business Aviation Association seeking members

May 8--The North Texas Business Aviation Association will hold its first membership drive from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Vitesse Aviation Services at Love Field, 8350 Denton Drive.

This group of local business aviation professionals was formed earlier this year to represent the entire North Texas aviation community, said Marj DeLong, president of the association.

Steve Hadley, the Southwestern regional representative for the National Business Aviation Association, will speak about issues affecting the industry, and Ms. DeLong will discuss the association's vision for the future.

There will also be an open discussion to generate ideas for activities and educational forums.

Members can join at the meeting for $45.

The near-term goal is a couple of hundred members, Ms. DeLong said, and the group eventually wants to grow to around 500.

The benefits of membership in the North Texas Business Aviation Association include networking opportunities; access to local resources, career opportunities, business solutions and ideas; and educational opportunities through speakers, presentations and forums.
