Low-cost airline Ryanair has reported a 15% growth in passenger numbers for April 2008.

The carrier recorded a total of 4.72m earned seats flown during the month, with this figure including instances where the passenger did not turn up for their flight.

The load factor for the month was 79%. This is down from 83% in April 2007, when flights were boosted by the Easter holiday.
